Mazafati dates box

There is a particular pleasure in a small box of very soft dates. You open it, and the dates are dark, plump and almost juicy — the kind that need no chewing so much as they melt. That is the Mazafati style, and this box from Khan Dry Fruits is the easy way to try it: one neat box at Rs 590, ready for the tea tray.

What is in the box

Mazafati dates are soft, dark and moist, with a clean, honeyed sweetness rather than a dry, sugary one. The box keeps them protected and portioned — open it for guests, set a few out with chai, close it again. A small-format treat, not a bulk pantry buy.

Why buy this box

A sealed, presentable box of soft dates at an everyday price, delivered to your door. No weighing, no loose stock, no large commitment. A small gift, a hostess contribution, or simply good dates on hand without opening a kilo pack.

Taste and texture

Soft and juicy with a smooth, sweet flavour — Mazafati's signature is moisture, so the flesh should feel tender and yield easily. On opening, the aroma should be clean and sweet. A quick look and smell on arrival is always worthwhile.

How to judge a good box

The dates should look plump and glossy, not dried out or weeping liquid. Smell them — rancid or fermented is a skip. Check the seal and any pack date, and compare box to box on weight and grade, not just headline price. See our buying guide.

Size and price

A single box option — confirm live price and stock in the buy box at checkout.

Keeping the box fresh

Keep it sealed in a cool spot away from sunlight and stove heat. Soft dates like Mazafati do best refrigerated in hot weather. Once opened, reseal or transfer to an airtight container, and serve with dry hands or a dry spoon. See storing in heat and humidity and the monsoon storage guide.

How to enjoy it

Set the box on the tea tray as it is, or arrange a few dates on a small plate for guests. They sit well in a family dry-fruit tray alongside nuts. Reseal after serving.

Price and availability

The box is Rs 590, but dry-fruit prices move with season and stock — the live price on this page is the final word. Around Ramadan and winter gifting peaks, soft-date boxes sell quickly, so order early if you need several.
