Premium quality mabroom dates in convenient 1kg packs

Pick up a Mabroom and you notice it before you taste it: long, slender, deep reddish brown — almost elegant beside the rounder dates on the tray. Then the flavour: rich, honeyed sweetness with a soft, yielding flesh. This is Khan Dry Fruits' premium Mabroom in 1kg, with 500gm and 250gm for gifting or first-time buyers.

The date in this pack

Mabroom is a Saudi variety prized for its length and mellow, deep sweetness. Elongated and soft, with a skin that clings rather than wrinkles, and a smooth bite from start to finish. A natural fit for premium gift boxes and Ramadan trays.

Why this pack makes sense

A clearly labelled retail pack with the weight on the front — no ambiguity about what you paid for. 1kg suits households serving dates daily through Ramadan; 250gm is the classic gift size. Comparing varieties? Read the Ajwa vs Mabroom vs Medjool comparison.

Taste, texture and quality

Elongated, soft dates with rich sweetness and a tender, almost creamy bite. Freshness shows in the aroma — clean and sweet on opening — and in the seal. Judge by smell, seal integrity and appearance rather than adjectives.

Choosing good Mabroom

Smell the pack on arrival: rancid or oily means it goes back. The dates should look plump and even, not crushed or weeping. Check the seal and pack date, and compare the same weight and grade across sellers — "Mabroom" with no grade context hides a wide range of quality.

Storage that keeps them soft

Dates keep best sealed. For a soft premium date like Mabroom, the fridge is the right home in hot weather; otherwise an airtight container away from stove heat and sunlight. Serve with a dry spoon. More in storing in heat and humidity and the monsoon storage guide.

Serving ideas

Mabroom shines on gift boxes and Ramadan trays. It also pairs well with plain nuts — almonds or pistachios — where the date brings the sweetness and the nut the crunch.
